Been doing the weekly broadcast for 1.5 years and have learned a ton of stuff. Helps to keep me motivated and practicing. Good stuff for all levels including advanced players. New,interesting stuff every week. Best $5.00 a steel player can spend. _________________ Justice Pro Lite (4-5), Justice D-10 (8-5)x2 , Quilter Steelaire, Hilton Pedal, BJ's bar. |

One of the neat things about William's new back up lessons is the fact that he states a lot of the fill material is just a suggestion. In other words, what he's trying to do is to get students to ad lib some. This freedom to put your own touch on a song is very important in learning creativity. In backing up a singer, you'll find there is only one set rule on what you can do, it has to sound good! So when you're working on the suggestions that William gives you each week, try some of your own improvisations when you play with the mp3's that he sends out. What a deal!

What I love about is that you don't have to be there every Saturday at 1:00pm when he does the show. You can watch it anytime and as many times you want to... But I kinda like to watch it live, I'm going to get to this week.. _________________ Steve Cagle |

Howard we must have started about the same time. After watching his broadcast for a couple of times I saw that I had some bad habits that needed to be corrected. Now 18 months later he has taught me a lot and the backing up a singer series is the icing on the cake! Best money I ever spend towards playing a pedal steel guitar. _________________ EMMONS / ZUM / DERBY / EMCI / MARLEN / MARRS |

Tell you what folks.. there aint no one else out there doing so much for the folks that want to learn to play pedal steel. If there is let me know and I will add them to my list. William gives so much for so little money. So many of us want to learn but don't want to put in the ass time. ( the time actually sitting down and practicing) and many are content to just be a "steel guitar owner" ..haha..looks good in your living room and is a good conversation piece. But if you want to learn to play it and not just look at it maybe you should give him a try. _________________ Twang to the bone! |

Larry no truer words have been spoken. Ass time along with good material is a unbeatable combination for learning. William is no joke when it comes to teaching Steel guitar. If you are one of the few that really wants to learn to be a better player or just getting started, this is where you need to be. You can buy courses, books, etc but nothing takes the place of a live teacher explaining how this material is played. Then you get to see he playing the material in front of you on You Tube and you can watch this video as many times as you want. _________________ EMMONS / ZUM / DERBY / EMCI / MARLEN / MARRS |
