Post by Jeff MacDonald »

If you have a White Steel currently, I'm looking to get a measurement of the
"White" logo. I'm restoring one. thanks,

If this is the right guitar, you can "measure" the logo by counting the frets. By measuring those frets, you'll come close to the ballpark.
Then find any available Fender decal logo that comes closest to the ballpark size. What does a "White" logo look like?

Thanks for the tips. I'm having Pat Wilkins do a custom paint job on my White Steel. Someone had painted it an aqua blue before I got it.
I have the Big Logo pic but the last picture sentwill help a lot. He's going
to measure based on frets. Just trying to get it more accurate.

I took that picture of the large WHITE logo, and there are more pictures in my thread from 2008 ----> http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=134335

White Steel Pickup

Post by Jeff MacDonald »

Hi Doug, this is my refinished White Steel. What pickups could you recomend to replace the original? I agree it sounds thin.

Jeff, I'm not an expert on pickups or what pickup will fit your White, but you should check out the Seymour Duncan vintage style Fender lap steel pickup ---> http://www.seymourduncan.com/pickup/ant ... ap-steel-3 And there might be other companies out there making Fender style lap steel pickups.
