In spite a flood in Victoria, we had our first meeting! Thanks to all who attended. Roger Edgington, Stephen Cowell, Mark Adkins, Roy Glaze, and myself brought and played our steels. It's good to see Roy's refurbished lefty up and going again. Sorry to hear that Ben Porter had a head-on encounter with a coyote while trying to get out of San Antonio. His car had to be carted back to town. Thanks also to Billy & Patty Phelps for coming to support us. Thanks to our backup band - David Waters (guitar), John Sullivan (Bass), and Cody Cann (drums). Also, thanks to John & Anna Coffman and Larry Schoppe for making the trip. Forgive me if I missed someone.
We'll try it again next month - the 4th Sunday of May. I'll be announcing the featured player later.

WE had a great time and a great venue. It was good to catch up with Roger and David. Good fun with great friends. Cannot wait till next month

Yes, I think Mr. Coyote just wanted a ride down to Victoria to enjoy the first Victoria Steel Guitar Club meeting. Sadly, his timing was off just a bit and he ended up as part of my radiator. Poor Mr. Coyote. He is survived by 2,000 of his close relatives. Friends may call at the Lone Wolf funeral home, and there will be a remembrance party after at the Coyote Ugly Club.
Sorry I wasn't able to make this first, historic meeting.
