1960s Fender Stringmaster T8 Triple Neck Steel Guitar

Post by Andrew Leonard »

For sale is a 1960s Fender Stringmaster T8 Triple Neck Steel Guitar in good condition. I bought this about a year ago from someone that had it stored for many years. It has a lot of wear but it's honest playing wear, someone loved this guitar and played it a lot. I put new strings on it and it plays and sounds wonderful.

It's tuned starting with the front neck: C6, E13 and B11. I have spare sets of strings which I'll include for C6, B11 and A6.

Everything is in working order:
All pickups are working
Selector switch works
Volume and tone are working
Pickup blend controls for each pickup set are working
Tuning gears are all working
Legs clutches are working
The case is functional but is missing leather ends, the Fender logo has fallen off and overall is pretty beat up. Hinges and clasps all work though.

This guitar has a 22-1/2" scale.

Finish is wore mostly where you would rest you wrists as seen in photos. The metal is pitted but still shines and looks good. The finish is checked all over and darkened over time. Many chips and scratches throughout the guitar.

Even though the guitar isn't the prettiest, it's solid, still sounds wonderful and will play for many years to come.

I'll take $1200 or best offer for it, but it's pickup only in Tecumseh, MI. I'll drive about 25 miles to meet, but that's it.
I will not ship this.

If I've misidentified anything, please correct me. I'm no expert on these guitars.

Have you found someone to provide a new home for this guitar yet?

I may be interested.

Thanks
