This connector plugs the speaker wires into the bottom of my Vegas amp. I know someone on the SGF will know what's it's called and where can I get a new one? Thanks for any info.

those are standard molex connectors that peavey uses for connecting speakers, reverb cables and other internal connections. i imagine they would send you some cheap....or someone will suggest something. |

Those are nearly impossible to repair or change the plug on. You'll probably need to order a new harness from Peavey or maybe Ken Fox may have one made up.
What problem are you having with it? Is the wiring broken somewhere inside the plug? If not, maybe you can just re-tension the little metal connectors that slide onto the pins. |

At least you can still buy one, the 5 pin molex for many Peavey reverb connections is no longer available! |

Thanks very much to all for quick replies! The connector works but is loose in the socket and sometimes when I pull the power cord out it yanks the speaker cord out. I have the Vegas top in a cabinet so the power cord and speaker cords are jammed up in there and I have to unscrew the back to reattach it. Thanks again for answering the question. |

Know what you're going through. I had the same access problem with the reverb connector on my NV head.
In your case though, next time you have the back off, use a small metal pick or object to try and tighten up the female pins in the plug. They are split connectors and pretty flimsy really, but if they're in good condition, you can maybe sort of squeeze them together a bit so that they make a better connection with the pins on the amp head. Good Luck! |

These are no longer available and haven't been used for years. The computer industry was using them about the same time we used them back in the '80's. |

Yes, best fix. No more problems. That's what John LeMay did to mine, but it's kind of tricky....you'd almost have to pull the chassis out of the cab, wouldn't you? |

I guess the obvious is to pay more attention when removing your power cord, but like Jerry said, retention the connectors, it will make it less prone to to come loose, even when abused! |

Thanks again very much for answer. I will get it hardwired soon as I can. Great amp with two channels. I use the second channel to playback bass tracks. |

What Mike said! The later amps all had the speaker wires soldered to the two speaker posts. You will need a good iron and soldering skills to do it for sure. |

I am looking for some Output Transistors for the early 80's Session 500 amp.
# SJ6357 think they are Motorola.
I understand that Peavey no longer has them.
Thanks for any help.
