I have the exact same models purchased from a forum member recently for $3,000 which I considered fair because the amp was included. Changed the electrolytics and it plays just fine. Also, the A22 had just had the Rick Aiello treatment. Now if only I could live up to its potential!

$5,400 seems over the top to me.

I agree but the market will prove whether it is or not. Rickenbacker isn't making any more '30s frypans.

If I'm not mistaken, a set (the same set?) like this was for sale at Gruhn Guitars for about the same price. $5,500 I believe. The description reads like it was taken straight from the Gruhn ad. If so, the buyer may just be looking to get out what he has into it.
