Fantastic Susan! Loved the story about Olivier Messiaen. I'm going through a big Messiaen phase myself at the moment, was thinking his piece Fete Des Belles Eaux
written for 6 Ondes Martenot would be great arranged for pedal steel. :)
If he were alive I'm sure he would write for pedal steel, he was a visionary.
When I was starting out ( 10 years ago ) I was inspired by Astor Piazolla also.
Tango Zero Hour is one of the greatest albums ever, perfect collaberation of heart and mind.
Thanks a bunch.
Shane.
