Resonator effect pedal
It's my understanding that the Danelctro Fish & Chips EQ does a pretty good job of getting a resonator sound out of your steel. The Resonator pedals are pricey so I may go this route. I was wondering if there is something about this particular EQ that does this or can any EQ pedal get this effect?

Hi, Clayton, consensus is that basically any 7 band graphic EQ can get close by alternating the sliders all the way up and all the way down for a severe notch filter effect. Some start with the bottom slider down, some up… this is the basis for the BoBro simulator. The more expensive reso simulators include some control over resonance and overall tone which can really help fine tuning the effect. The Bradshaw MXR simulator does the best job for me, with the resonance control being something I adjust frequently.

This comes to the top of the results, but there's a bunch of FaceSpace stuff about somebody going to a local seafood restaurant: http://www.gregcutshaw.com/Dobro%20Simu ... 20Sim.htmlScott Duckworth wrote:Greg Cutshaw talks about the Fish & Chips.

I'm guessing the "Skin So Soft" container he mentions using as a bar is either one of these https://www.avon.com/product/10401/skin ... osol-spray or these https://www.avon.com/product/33646/skin ... osol-spray, 4 oz. cans.
Side note: The original Avon lotion, even before they added the picaridin to it, was supposed to be an effective repellent for the nasty black flies that Maine has during certain parts of the year. (They should be here any day now.)
Now that's a multipurpose product right there.
