Anyone got a square neck spider bridged dobro I could rent/barter/trade to use the week of 03/28 through 04/02?
We're vacationing there that week and I don't have a HSC for my Guernsey. I don't won't to fly with it even though it's in a quality gig bag, and I have concern over withdrawals as I'm a daily picker so looking for something to borrow.
Beaters, Regals, etc welcomed. Not too picky as long as it has 6 strings tuned GBDGBD. I'll put a new set of strings on it when I return it. I don't have a lot of money, but do have a little cash, along with a trading stock of strings, A new Ron Tipton bar (the shorter one), a new Snark tuner, you get the idea!
Let me know, we're staying north of Kaanapali and happy to meet pretty much wherever. |

I never saw a single resonator guitar when I was last on Maui. You might check with Lahaina Music or the Bluegrass Hawaii people to see if they have any leads. Good luck in your search! _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I just left Honolulu, scoured the pawns and Craigslist, not a thing. Here on the islands dobros are metal and have thin necks with frets...but "we don't have those here".
I got a great buy on a blemished new o'hana tenor uke and I brought my u bass with me so me and my boys can make some noise anyway.
Thanks Brad! |
