Very heart breaking. Always loved them since I first heard them.
God has another beautiful angle to sing in his heavenly band now.

Academy of Country Music voting had Joey and Rory as a choice for duo of the year. I voted for them. Perhaps enough sentimental votes will make it so.

Wasn't familiar with her until I saw the commercial with her & Rory singing & thought "Wow; these 2 are phenominal; wonder who they are?"

R.I.P. Joey. You have some of the best steelers to back you up now in Heaven.
A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag.

Joey and Rory

Some time life is so unkind, you work and work for a bump in this music thing, you get a break and cancer raises its evil head. Then all of a sudden, your deals are not so important because cancer has taken place of everything else. I know this to be true because I have a granddaughter who's 3years old and has leukemia. But God will provide. Joey and Rory lived and believed it. Rip CM

My deepest condolences to the entire family of Rory ; I loved Joey from the first time I heard the two of them sing; Their career was blossoming so well. Had a grand TV Show of their own; plus a going Diner; And a gift from GOD, The darling little girl INDY. Yes; PaPa John; Tom Brumley; Don Helms Jeff Newman & many other steel players are definitely having a BALL backing Joey; while playing for our Jesus.. What a grand feeling this remains in our & Rory's heart.. Surely one of God's newest Angels.. Rest In Peae, JOEY.. Give Rory the needed courage to raise his family.. God Bless each one..
