I have been using my EH B9 for over a year now... it's a real hit in the mixed genre crowds... and when I go back to the sweet steel guitar without the effects, it really stands out....
What I found...
I use the #2 "Jazz" setting... less pitch shifting, and real cool for nice low pads in the back of the mix.... and the one disappointment in the pedal to me is a bit more "latency" than I would like...
Playing power triads works better than trying to do anything single string... IMHO. I found trying to emulate Jimmy Smith style of playing seems to work best.
All in all, a good product, well worth the price.
...but it is a real hit with my band, my crowd.. just not my wife ... but then she is "real" country... lord love her.

I was going through some gospel songs last night with a Wisconsin steeler and the old H & K Rotosphere sounded pretty good to me.  |

Has anyone tried out the newer EH model, Key-9, with pedal steel? I'm thinking of getting this one and curious if the Fender Rhodes sounds is good. Only 1 organ sound on this pedal.

Agreed, the C9 has a lot of interesting sounds in it, and I love the Mellotron patch with steel. |
