Sierra steel part

Post by Don Cain »

I need one tuning finger for my Crown Sierra.
Tom has a new one but it is a little different and would not match the other 9. The problem is, his new one the string goes over a groove and on mine the string goes through a hole. My question is does anyone have a used finger I can buy. The problem with mine is the screw stripped out and I had to put the next size larger screw in it and I would like to replace the finger. Thanks for any help. Don

The string goes through a hole? That doesn't sound right. I had a Sierra Crown keyless and the string didn't go through any hole.

Bobby, Don is talking about the tuning finger on the gearless head behind the roller nut, not the changer finger. I have both, Crown and Session, and on the Crown there is a hole in the tuning finger where the string passes through before it is locked down with an Allen screw and then tuned with a 3/16" hex screw. On the Session, there is a groove instead of the hole and the tuning screw has a plastic "finger tip" top.
