They used to be sold by Dale Hansen of "Best Danged Gizmos" but I think that he closed the company. The ones that clip on the seat are cool and can be made using shelf brackets if you take a bit of time.

I cut a piece about 3" long out of 1"dia for my Sierra. Use a hack saw and cut a slot that will fit over the leg. Drill a couple of holes for mounting the matchbox (or what ever). Let me load up a picture. Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Will get back shortly.

Make sure you recess the mounting screws a little bit.

I have one similar to that but it will not fit a Sierra square leg.

Isn't that the type sold on the SGF accessories page? Click Accessories at top of this page. On page 3 look for Show Pro Leg Clamp, available in long or short size, 6 bucks apiece, no minimum order and helps the forum.

Bracket

Post by Ray Thomas »

if this doesn't do it I will quit, the item attached to the free loader is what I want, the free loader is the same size as a dd-3 and most other effect units, fits a standard size round leg on the steel guitar

If I'm not mistaken that is the same bracket that was sold and used by Goodrich a number of years ago but was discontinued due to its apparent short lifespan.
