When in Austin I usually go to the Broken Spoke, which is great ! I have seen Herb Steiner play there, Ricky Davis many years back. I would like to know any information about venues to check out for steel guitar that night, who is playing where. Thanks in advance.

I'm playing with Dave Insley at the White Horse 8:00 that night. There are free dance lessons starting at 6:00. It's a real fun open scene.
We play till 9:30.

I'll be playing in Luckenbach on the 26th. I don't with whom, other than my buddy Donnie Price will be on bass, and that's enough for me.

Turns out i didnt go anywhere that night  . Other plans had been made...oh well..another time,,,my son lives in austin so i am down there from time to time

| Pigging-backing Larry's post, I have been requested to visit the other half's relatives in Austin in the not too distant future and I have never been to Austin. Exciting as this may sound, I need to have places I can hide out! There were four good places named above but are there other places and recommendations as to PSG talent in the area one might see? |
