The guitar player is playing upside down and backwards, you don't see that much

This is the second or third time in the last couple of years that someone has posted that Wiseman clip and asked to ID the steel player.
As far as I can recall, no one has been able to ID him for certain.
He looks a bit like Johnny Sibert to me, but I'm not at all sure. |

I dont know who the steel player is either. I have
to say that's a great version of that old standard.
I used to cover that song back in the day,The Pat Boone version. I like the way mac plays with the melody line vocally putting his own stamp on it. I never knew about that double bridge part,"the sunbeams kissed the sand" --- does anyone know if the song was originally written like that. I heard of Mac Wiseman, but never heard much of his music. Great shared lead-the right way. Sorry if I strolled off the topic. Lee, that was your's truly. It was 1986 or 87 when I was a member of Del McCoury's band. We were hired to be Mac's band that day. I was in my late 20's at the time. I've had the pleasure to work with Mac several times through the years. He's one of the best, and a good guy to work with too.

yeah Rick, I kinda thought that was you. That's great that you have gotten to play with all that talent. Six string and piano were my main instruments back in the day. Happy holidays my friend. Thank you Lee. Yes, I've been lucky to have got the chance to play with some of the best in the business. Seems like the older I get the harder I have to look for the music that I know the best. I admire anyone that can play guitar or piano well. I think they are the most versatile of all the instruments. Hope you have a happy new year.

Rick, that's some great playing there. I can only dream of playing blue grass like that. I've played in several blue grass bands but don't sound nothing like that. _________________ Henry Matthews
