My latest Country Classic is a song written and recorded by Larry Gatlin in 1973: "Bitter They Are, Harder They Fall".
Gene Watson does an excellent job on this song.

I had a request for "Walk On By" so got busy and tabbed it out.
It was a big hit for Leroy Van Dyke in or around 1961.

It has been recorded by several artists since then.

My latest Country Classic is: "Ashokan Farewell".
I wasn't very familiar with this song until I started looking into it. Oft times it is used in conjunction with a Civil War presentation, even though it was written in 1983 by Jay Ungar.
You might like to give it a try. Some of the tab is even written for playing in Hughey land, if you so choose.

James,
I'm ready to put your tabs in the mail. :D

My latest Country Classic is a song written and recorded by Vern Stovall back in 1962: "Long Black Limousine".
The only place I could find the sheet music was in an Elvis Presley song book. Elvis took some liberties with the song but I did my best to restore it to how it was originally written.
Besides Vern Stovall is has been recorded by:
Merle Haggard
Keith Whitley
Wynn Stewart
Bobby Bare
Glenn Campbell
and a couple of girls: Connie Smith & Jody Miller
Plus others.

My latest Country Classic is: "The Seashores Of Old Mexico".
This song has quite a history.
It was written by Merle Haggard in 1969.
However, he didn't record it until 1974.
In the meantime, it was recorded by Hank Snow in 197l and Freddy Weller in 1972.
I never really paid much attention to it, however, until George Strait came out with it in 1987.
