I got myself a super clean ShoBud Pro 1 S10 today. Red and pretty as a picture. Maybe the best playing steel I've had so far. The wife didn't shoot me when I came in with it so it's been a good day.

Hey Rick,
Hope you enjoy that new guitar. I have two guitars, both red, and I think they sound just as good as those black jobbies...
Keep on pickin' and have fun!

Good for you Rick. I know you are going to like it. I just got a Super Pro a week ago and really like the sound. Have to get use to the knee lever set up or change it same as my Derby. This Bud has found a home.

I got an S-10 Pro I a few months ago, about a '70. I love it! It's a natural blonde birdseye. I have just took delivery of a D-10 "The Proffessional", about a '70. It's a darker tobacco color. I love it, too. It will get a couple more levers, and a good going through. Both my Buds are Rack and Barrel mechanics, and absolute tone monsters! I still love my '76 Marlen D-10, too. They all sound great through my '71 Twin Reverb/JBL's.

The serial number on my red Shobud is 15904. Anybody know approximately what year it was built? Don't know what kind of PU it has but it sure sounds sweet. Red laquer and not a scratch on it.

Hey Jody, it looks almost exactly like your Shobud that you played in Tyler. In fact the tone of yours is what made me buy this guitar.

Rick, Does it have nylon end tuners or the metal allen head tuners? Wide pedals or narrow pedals?

Hey James, it has nylon tuners and I think wide pedals although I don't have anything to compare them to.

I'm probably off, but I'd guess your bud is a 1976 or newer model. Ricky Davis could put you right on the bullseye with dating your guitar.
