This is an odd request, I know - does anyone know the weight of one of these guitars EXcluding the case? I have to come up with an accurate figure, and I only have the case here with me - the guitar's at work!
LeGrande III with 8+8. I appreciate any reponses!

LeGrande II mica D10 8+8, 45 lbs on a bathroom scale. Add a half pound for the III.

The same way we used to weigh hens. First you weigh yourself, then you weigh yourself holding the hen, and subtract the two weights.  |

Nope, wrong Big Jim! Bobby, the guitar was set up so I turned it up on it's endplate and balanced it on the scale.

I'm really touched - thanks for going to that trouble in response to my question; it's a great help!
The problem with the 'hen weighing' method would be that I doubt that my bathroom scales could deal with a steel guitar AND Roger Rettig at the same time....
