Hi Susan,

Not sure you remember me. I met you last year when I played guitar with Iain Matthews. Love your playing.

Congrats on the NZ tour! have you been, before? My wife's a Kiwi, and I've been 8-9 times, but not in a good few years. I'm jealous. If you need any travel, etc advice, let me know. If I can't help you, we have plenty of family and friends who can.

cheers!

Jim - Yes, I remember you, the show with Iain Matthews, and your brilliant guitar playing - I was in awe. At times it sounded like there was a whole orchestra playing behind Iain, but when I looked, it was only you on the six-string guitar. I'll post you privately with some questions. Thanks!

Paddy - I'm very happy that you'll be coming to the Lyttelton show. I've heard a lot about your steel guitar playing (Noel Anstead, for one, is a big fan), and it will be great to meet you too.

Hi Susan, I am in Hamilton an hour and a half from Auckland where you are doing a couple of gigs and if you need any gear I would be happy to help out. I have had a chat with Paddy Long and he will help you out for the South Island part of your tour. I have a lot of Steel amps and a couple of Fender tube amps so I would think there would be something to fit your taste. If I can be of any help please send me an email and I will send you a list of what I have available. I look forward to meeting you in Auckland and especially to hearing you play.

Thanks, Jeff. I'm really excited to travel to New Zealand, and I'll be bringing the Anapeg with (fingers crossed). I wanted it to return (temporarily) as close to its home shores as possible.

I've been in touch with both Paddy and Ivan, and I'm excited to meet them, and perhaps play through their amps.

I hope all is well with you and I hope the Irish Steel Guitar Festival went well for you (though I'm sure it did and that you were great).

Thank you Susan. Yes the Irish festival was terrific. The steel guitar fraternity is just wonderful - you have friends all over the world!! I am still over here in Europe. Just arrived in Florence for a bit. Oh yes the All Blacks!! 😔😔 its all good fun! Not as much when you are on the receiving end however. Hope you get great attendances at your shows and enjoy it. ( hope your audience attendances are up. (most Kiwis are here living in Aust!!)😉😉
