I came across this while searching for SD 10, I did not check out the ad but it appears to be made in china. Below is the link.

No need to rush into buying this one, it looks like he has 999 of them to sell. :D

I see this guy has 999 T-8 Bigsbys to sell:

That Emmons just sold on the forum and the Bigsby sold on EBay earlier this year. They're obviously just stealing pics off the web. Hope nobody falls for it.
Mostly Pre-1970 guitars.

I have seen counterfeit Gibsons & Fenders, but steel has such an extremely limited market, I don't think it would pay to manufacture bogus steels. Kinda like counterfeiting Confederate money. Looks good to me, but I don't trust anyone & would never buy anything online, unless it was from a member here, or one of the other forums I'm on.
A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag.

My mistake, that's not the same Emmons that sold here. But the Bigsby is definitely the one that sold on eBay...

Emmons SD 10 buyers Be Aware

Post by Burt Johnson »

The original post:Emmons SD 10 buyers "Be Aware". Apparently The text for the subject does not allow quotation marks so I edited and took out quotation. I posted this to warn potential buyers that there could be some counterfeit SD 10 Emmons on the market. I was not advocating the purchase of the guitar by no means.

Do y'all really think, if you ordered one, that they would build an Emmons copy? Even if they did, don't see how anyone could make a profit.

I want that Chinese Webb in the background. Kinda makes ya think he stole a photo that someone had posted somewhere.

I'm sure he did Richard. That picture looks 100% American with the Webb amp and other stuff.

Have you guys seen the www.lionseek.com site? Check it out and select "guitars" and then search for "pedal steel". It's really current for many Steel Guitar Forum items for sale. From their FAQ's it looks like they search various forums for sale items and post them on lionseek for "informational purposes". It would be really easy for someone to use this site to "steal" photos and info from someone's SGF ad and present it as their own for a fraudulent "deal" on a steel they don't own. I realize non-members have access to view the SGF but I would imagine this site increases the viewing audience by a large number and also increases the opportunity for bad things to happen. Bottom line...as always, buyer and seller beware.

I like that fir was used in the building...that probably helps cut down some on weight, but ya still got some maple in there.I've read descriptions of some of their other guitars: "guitar are most toneful for the enjoyment of entertainment offered by playing"

Do not use that site. (I know, you guys already had that part figured out.) Many sellers on this site not only do not send promised goods, they also highjack your credit card info (Paypal not accepted.)

For those who tuned in late, I hope it's clear I'm talking about AliExpress, not the forum.
