--> Sho~Bud Pro II Custom D-10 8 & 4 - $1,795.00 + shipping

Post by Erv Niehaus »

I'm putting my Sho-Bud Pro II Custom up for sale.
It is a D-10 with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. I bought this guitar several years ago and never got around to playing it. It is in excellent condition with the exception of some bar dings between the necks. This is an early Pro II Custom without the pot metal parts. It has the dust collector fretboards and the teardrop knee levers. The changer is two up and two down with two hole pullers.
The serial No. is 11320 if somebody can put a date on it. It comes with a new case and I am asking $1,795.00 for it plus shipping & PP charges, if used.
The copedent is pretty much straight Emmons.
I took some pictures, hope they show up ok.
Thanks

Erv the only thing I could come up with is serial#11302 was built 11/9/76 and serial#11338 was built 11/22/76 so I am assuming the one you have for sale was probably built around 11/11/76. Slim

Erv the year is spot on but the exact build date I had to assume so at least we got you an exact year if an exact date is what your after john Billings here on the forum could probably steer you the right resource. As always have a blessed day. Slim :D

Mike,
No, I don't need the exact date, I just didn't want to give anyone a bum steer as to its age.

Erv,

Could you tell me what pickups are on this guitar? They look like Bill Lawrence 710s or XLR-16 or ??? Just curious.

Thanks,

Don

Erv that is a truly beautiful Bud. If not for owning a Pro III custom that I truly love I would be all over it. You have her priced right and someone is gonna be a happy steeler. Best of luck with your sale... Slim

I've delt with Bill Lawrence 710 pickups for quite a while and they look exactly like them. But if they aren't; then they were made by someone that is trying to copy the Bill Lawrence pickups; so just rip them out and put the real Bill Lawrence in; as that is why someone is trying to copy them...they are THAT GOOD....well that's also why Lloyd Green uses the 710 in his LDG; the very first LDG built...ha....

The first thing I did when I bought a used Super-Pro, was to put 710's is. Made a world of difference.
