Whilst doing a Sho-Bud D10 Professional restoration, I really mangled one of the two glued down metal fret boards when removing it from the neck. I thought it was hopeless until an idea arrived from my daughter. I ran it through a pasta machine lasagna roller, after first making sure not to select the linguine cutting blade. After successive passes on tighter settings this fret board is once again flat. The rolling pin follow through was just to remove some of the curve imparted by the machine rollers. I sure hope I didn't stretch this thing and throw off the scale!!!

Wow - now we can all have fretboards that are tasty and nourishing. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

aren't you supposed to roll it out on a marble slab to keep it cool? |

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Jerry Roller develop that system?

Thanks for all the humorous replies. I am enjoying them.
I did want to pass on my newfound technique to our more tool challenged brethren, i.e., don't overlook the fairly well stocked kitchen for unusual solutions.
Cheers to all! |

Bon apetit! I think it was a brilliant idea. Kudos to your daughter.
I love old Buds. Hope we get to see more of yours as it comes together. |

I sure hope that's a gluten-free fretboard.
