Maybe it should be re-named "The Spirit of John Coop"?
The workmanship is just beautiful. What a legacy he left in terms of restored Sho-Buds. He truly gave them a new lease of life. You gents lucky enough to own a "Cooped" 'Bud own a piece of steel-guitar history.

The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being.

Put it under glass and never play it? No way!
That has to be played! It has to be given voice by human hands, and the human heart. It has to sing, and cry, and wail, and moan, It has to bounce and bubble like a kettle boiling. It has to sound like syrup flowing, as smooth and slow as "molasses in July". It has to sigh like the wind through trees on a quiet evening. It has to reach out to people and touch their hearts! That's what our instrument is built for.
I hope the new owner plays it out at every opportunity and makes a ton of bucks with it. It's just too beautiful to be locked away and never seen or heard.

Ultimate Sho Bud
Thank you to T.C. for allowing me to purchase such a marvelous work of art. I will tell you all that is an incredible instrument. I'm already practicing with it and getting used to the feel of it. I'm also getting a chance to try C6. It's a whole different world, but it's a lot of fun. It most definitely will not be locked up as it is meant to be played!
