Hey Guys I just built my frist S-10 lap steel
Chuck Back of www.desertroseguitars.com sent me some parts keyhead and tuners a pickup and fretboard I made the body and the neck and put a rosewood finishes on.
it has E9th tuning so i can start finding more stuff without pedals,I'm going to build one for the C6th tuning also.I don't know how BUT somehow this guitar has great tone & sustain,so this is the frist Phillips S-10 Lap Steel Guitar I'm starting to use the bar more
now i don't have any pedals,Thanks you Lord showing how to do this Thanks Gary

Jim, The frist one will take sometime to builded makeing sure everything fit just right,then the next steel will that less time to build.will have post some pic on here .Thanks Gary

I built a 10 string out of a piece of maple and some parts I bought on ebay. I made a few of the aluminium parts. It has a Jerry Wallace pickup in it. It sounds good but a couple of the middle strings that don't go over the nut to the tuners at much of an angle have some strange harmonics or something going on. If I place more pressure behind the bar with my left hand that takes care of most of the problem.
Mine is tuned to C6. To me six strings is not enough and ten strings is too much.
