As most of you know, Gary Rittenberry is not a member of the Steel Guitar Forum. Gary has ask me to post this information for him.
Gary's Sister passed peacefully this morning, near Cookeville, Tenn.
Barbara (Walden) had been bravely fighting cancer for a good while now, and went home to be with Jesus this morning around 11:00 A.M.
No services have been made yet.
Gary ask that you all remember him and Barbara's family in your prayers. Rest in peace Barbara.

Mark, I assure you Barbara has found peace.
She knew Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was ready to go home.
Thanks for posting Mark.

I was saddened to hear this from Gary himself today. I had called him with a question about steel. He returned my call later and told me the sad news. Then he proceeded to hel[p me with my problem. Gary is a Big Big man and a true friend. My sincere condolences, Gary.

I don't know Gary, but he has my condolences. I lost my father to cancer last November. It's really tough to lose a loved one to such a horrible disease.
