I have heard folks here talk about speaker adapter rings. I would like to mount a 12 inch speaker in a 15 inch cutout? Is there such a thing to accomplish this or did I dream this up???? Thanks for any help. |

Kenny, I have a piece of 1/2 inch birch plywood painted black that is square and measures 14.75" x 14.75" It has a perfect circle hole cut in it that is 11.25" in diameter. I used it to mount a 12 inch Telonics speaker into a Session 500 empty cabinet. I have since gone a completely different route and have no use for it. You can have it if you will pay for the shipping. I can send you a photo if you like.
The square just fits over the existing 15 inch speaker hole and is fastened in with screws. Then the 12 inch speaker is mounted to the 1/2 inch board with screws, or you can use T nuts if you want to get fancy. |
