Topic: MOD Reverb Pan Replacement and NV400 |

Hello forumites,
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their reverb pan with a MOD pan in their NV400, and if so, was the old pan connected with solder joints rather than the RCA plugs on the MOD? What did you do??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

| The Nashille 400 used RCA make jacks to connect to the reverb pan. If yours is soldered then it was modified by someone |

Thanks Ken. That's interesting.
Do you know if I can get a new molex connector with RCA plugs from anywhere?
My NV400 also has the hum that is non-existent when the reverb is switched off but increases as you turn up the reverb. I've done lots of research on the forum and cleaned the connections, tried the bulb grease, etc. and it's still there.
All I want is nice, reliable, responsive reverb! |

I used to make those cables but no longer have a shop area to work in. Best to repair the cable with new solder on RCA male
jacks. |

Thanks again for your help, Ken.
Do you think the hum mentioned above is something to do with the circuit board, rather than with the connection to the pan? Not sure if this is relevant, but the hum occurs whether the molex connector is plugged in or not. |

| I would say at board level if it does it with the Molex connector unplugged. First thing is to swap out the IC chip fir the reverb circuit. It is a 4558' dual op amp. Cheap and just plugs in to a socket. It is the ic nearest the four Molex pins test are on the board where the connector plugs in |
