Hi guys!

A fellow picker has problems w/ his LDR-2 which he bought new a few weeks ago. Yes, it´s new, never used although manufactured in 2007.

When picking the strings harder the sound gets "distorted" or "cracked". It´s not distorted per se, but more... well, "cracked"...I don´t know how to describe it better...
And the problem remains regardless of the volume on the pedal...

I suggested trying to adjust the gain knob but he´s stating it has no effect.

Ever heard of anything similar?

Does anyone know which voltage it runs on? 18 or 24?

Thanks!

Sven

Avoid too many preamps as it has one in the pedal. A 710 pickup would add to the possible overdriving of the PU.
