Does anyone know if its cost effective to send BOSS pedals back to the manufacturer for repair or does anyone
"know a guy" who does the same repairs form less? Or should I just buy another pedal all together?
Thanks
Dwight

It really depends on the pedal if it's worth repairing. If it's one of the lower cost pedals then it's not worth the trouble . I know at one point you could send the pedals back for repair and they have a long warranty . Now if you plugged in a wrong power supply, they won't cover that under warranty. I have repaired some of the overdrive and distortion pedals but I would not tackle a delay or chorus . _________________ A couple of guitars

A lot of the newer pedals use surface mount components, and are in reality unrepairable. I picked up a chorus, cheap, a few years ago, and realized I couldn't fix it, so I contacted Boss to see if a board was availlable. It wasn't, but when it was, it was still more than the price of a new pedal! |
