Arnie Varguson will be inducted into the Rockablilly Hall of Fame for his steel playing tonight here in Jackson Tn. He and his buddy Lance stopped in my store yesterday and we are now friends. He and Lance stopped into my gig last night and Arnie played my Kline on a couple. Great playing and great fun.

A Kline in Norway?
Does Arne have a Kline that he uses when he is back home in Norway?
When my wife and I worked in Stavanger in the 1980s I went to a couple of the 3 day Scotty seminars that the Norwegians organized in the Oslo area. Steelers would come from other Scandinavian nations and a few other European countries to be schooled by Wallace, Crawford, Newman, etc. I never once saw a Kline. Perhaps Jeff Newman brought one along but I did not make that seminar.
I believe Sigurgeir Sigmundsson from Iceland still has a D-10 Kline.
How bitter-sweet to see Chuck McGill in the photo chugging along just three days prior to passing away. Good guy! stevet
