Fender Stringmaster T-8 $1675 & Shipping /insurance
Here is a clean T-8 triple eight Fender Stringmaster with 22 1/2" scale that plays and sounds great. Electronics are also fine.
Leo Fender designed these so the two pickups per neck could be blended from single-coil to a Hum-bucker with the knob under the bridge cover as shown in the pics.
There here are some dings but this Stringmaster has held up exceptionally well for its age. Case is also in excellent condition.
From the previous owner I was told it was a 1954 model but can't say for sure. Perhaps the case might roughly identify the year the steel was built. Those who might know, feel free to chime in. (Carty and Erv have given me good examples below as to why this is an early 1960s rather than a 1954. Thanks for your help guys.)
Price reduction: now $1675 plus shipping/insurance e from MINNESOTA, zip code 56562. Bank check or Postal Money Order preffered but will accept Paypal.
Jim Cohen suggested I clarify shipping origin. No, it is not coming from China

Erv, I did not mean to leave you out; thank you also for helping me with that data to help me to rule out the 1954 date of this Stringmaster. steve t

Just an observation, Fender used the same tolex that appears to be on the case from 59-63 the brownfaced amp era. I would guess that fender being fender and never wasting anything, they would use the same tolex that was on their amps at that time. So thats my 2 cents...somewhere between 59-63...that said, could be way off..YMMV
