Hi,
I have a half-stop on my 2nd string that seems to work by the end of the 9th string nylon hex nut hitting the 9th string changer finger before it engages the finger.
The half-stop is sharp. I think I have to adjust the 9th string hex nut so the end is closer to the changer finger. I have no clue how to do this. Sorry to be so thick. Any help would be much appreciated!
How to adjust nylon hex nut to tune E9 2nd string half-stop?

If what you're describing is a 'feel' stop, you can follow the rod that lowers the 9th to the bell crank and move the pull rod connection 1 hole away from the body of the guitar on the bell crank and that should engage string 9 'later', allowing 2 to be pulled a little 'flatter' before the 9th string rod hits...hope this helps. Obviously, you'll have to re-tune the hex on string 9

Look at the diagrams on this page:
http://www.pedalsteelguitar.fr/materiel ... fstop.html
Your steel may or may not have grubscrews in the top of the changer, if it has see fig.2b, if not see fig.2a.
If your steel is a Carter, see fig.2c

Thanks guys,
I mean a "feel" stop. The steel is a Sho Bud Pro I with a completely replaced undercarriage.
It is somewhat like the diagrams in "fig 2" from http://www.pedalsteelguitar.fr/materiel ... fstop.html but it is not 2a (no extra hex nut on 9th finger), 2b (no grub screws as far as I can tell), or 2c (no 11th finger).
I guess the only option is to move the pull rod connection as you describe, one hole away on the bell crank. I was hoping to avoid this but perhaps this is the only way to adjust it on this guitar? I'll give it a try.
