Great tone bar!

Post by Dennis Anderson »

I'm very happy with the tone bar. So much quieter than the chrome bars and just the right weight. I was a little concerned it might be too light, but it's perfect. Thanks again!

Determining interest in a new size lap steel bar,

Post by Michael Hillman »

A Forum member has expressed interest in a lap steel bar in 3/4" x 3 1/4", or something close to that size. At present, our lap steel bars in 3/4" diameter are 2 /34" or 3" length - please add a comment if you'd be interested in this slightly longer size. - Thanks, Michael

I have all 3 of these bars, and they're the only ones I use now.
Easy to hold, slide easy without noise, and nice warmer sound.

Hey Michael,

Firstly I just wanted to say that since getting a couple of your bars, they are now the only ones I use.

I was wondering if there would be any interest here in a sitar bar?

I know it isn't an effect you use every day but it can be fun to have in your bag of tricks for that odd occasion when someone asks you to play on their new psychedelic album!

Also, when you put it down on a flat surface, it doesn't roll off.

And, of course, if you don't play on the flat bit, it works fine as a regular bar.

I would definitely be interested and it would give me an excuse to get another one in a different colour (I'd vote for white, 7/8" x 3 3/8")

Two for one sale continues...

Post by Michael Hillman »

Thanks for the interest in purchasing two powder coated bars for the price of one, this sale will run the rest of the month of August....all of the colors are available in the 7/8" x 3 3/8" bars, a little more limited in the large bars and lap steels, prices appear just a couple of posts above. Jeff- I haven't forgotten about the sitar bars, machinist is away on holiday, but I'll have an answer soon. I was thinking of purple or yellow so they won't be confused with any other bar!

Michael, Thanks for what are my sixth and seventh steels from you. I think I have just about every size now. All in formal black and white. Again, great and fast service and fantastic steels. And the two for one deal is the best value out there in my opinion.

Best regards, Bryan
