Hi Steve! You had to know I'd show up!
I played my Kline Uni, 5/7 nights a week, plus parties and recording., for many years. I never had to make an adjustment of the pulls. Well,,, once when SIT mislabeled a string. Strong and steady as a tank. Great sounding pickup. Just a wonderful guitar!

Hey Terry! We met when I was playing with the notorious JR. Also played with Carwin Country at The Touch of Gold for some years.

Steve, I'll contact a friend in Fla who lives near Joe, and has known him for years. I'll see if he can ask Joe about the number of D-10s. I only recall seeing Terry's up here in the Cleveland/Akron Area

Correct John, the Red River is the border between North Dakota and Minnesota. Fargo is just across the river from Moorhead. I assume you still have that fine white Kline, stevet

Steve is selling the "Grail". This guitar is so good. I have an SD10 that is just a joy to play. I actually had to stiffen the pedal action on mine to feel the pedals cause the action was so smooth and light. An engineering masterpiece in the same league with any steel builder. If I could afford it, it would be mine.

The others look like single coils.

There is not a better seller on this forum. I will sing the praises of Kline steels. I have a S12 and bought a SD 10 from Steve. No better machine in the business and a top notch seller. You can't go wrong with this deal. It should be more money cause they aint making them anymore!!!

Kevin, you are correct. Pick-ups are single coil as shown in the fourth photo, not the BL pickups shown in the first photo. That photo was from the previous seller.
I Know they are single coil because of that blue carpet in the 4th photo which was taken at my home.

Actually, the opposite is true. There was a time when I had more work than I could handle; I had to beg & bribe local players to fill in for me sometimes just so I could have a couple days off for vacation or whatever. Back then, even bad players were working constantly. And if you were good & doubled on guitar or bass--you were on top of the world.

With this economy & bands downsizing, what's the first thing to go? THE STEEL. You NEED a guitar player, bass player,drummer, & singer in a band, but you don't NEED a steel. great to have, but not necessary to play the gig.

No my friend; it's a terrible time to be a steel player. At least here in Florida.

Rich, how long ago was it when times were much better for pedal steel players in your area?

As for the economy in Florida, I do know that my nephew, who is adept at putting in stone tiles in homes and businesses, left the Tampa area for near Seattle 10 years ago and has all the work he can handle. Prior to leaving Florida, wages were low and work was not as plentiful. Even though things probably cost more in the Seattle area, it's been a net gain for him.

Hope the steel playing gigs pick up for you.

There's some work for players in my area. I have had to quit playing, and 2 of the bands I was playing with are looking for players. I have 2 others that want me.

This guitar should not still be on here. The Kline is an awesome guitar. If life would have turned out OK for me, and I had the money, this guitar would be mine.
