Thanks for posting. I had heard on NPR that she passed away. The ending of an era it would seem. The sad thing is I don't know that we have progressed all that far.

I'm so sad to hear this. I had shared some interesting discussions with her over the years about the history and design of dulcimers and board zithers. She was a very pleasant lady. Crying or Very sad

Yes Mike her contribution to folk music was tremendous and an inspiration to us all . IT would be interesting to know where her UK ancestry began as Rosehearty in Aberdeenshire is credited as the home of the Ritchies and MacRitchies . JAMES TAYLOR
