Zb 0034
I've got 0034, bought from Don Edwards in Lakewood, Colorado (Guitar City) around 1980 or 81, do not who the original owner was, as didn't think to ask at the time, but Don would have known, as he kept meticulous records unfortunately, he has passed on. Ronnie Miller was still hanging around, playing at Club Corners, Michael Russo was teaching pedal steel, Rusty Young and Ronnie were the previous teachers. I just cleaned the old girl up after about 30 years of neglect, now that I'm retired, hope to spend more time with her.

Weight
I thought it was heavier too. Feels like at least 75# when going up stairs with it. Must be old age?

I think you are on the money with 1969. Looks like Billy Knowles did this one and Duncan owned it.

Actually, I believe that my ZB is 0093, or 0127( I have owned both numbers at one time), but I am in South Carolina at the moment and can't turn it over and check the true serial number. In any event, mine is a 1969, the same year as Jerry Garcia's, but it was made with Tom Brumley parts. I believe that Jerry's was assembled by Mr. Brumley out of Scranton parts.

Customised ZB Student
I have just got this customised ZB Student and had a problem with the 4th string lowering to pitch thought I had sorted it but it`s doing it again, it looks like the raise on the forth string is starting to move when the lower is engaged, never had this problem before, has anyone had this problem? Any help on this problem would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
