I like raising string 4 E to F#, but I currently have it lowering string 5 B to A# for teaching. The B lower is a more important change.

I lower string 5 one-half step. I have the rod for lowering string 10, also; however, I haven't found much use for that move.

Thanks for your answer's...I lower the 5:B a half step now but I dont use it very often so I was thinking to try something new..something usefull...something cool..

I use the Â½-step lower a lot, but if I didn't, I'd put a 4th string raise to F# and ditch the C pedal.

Mine lowers 6 a whole tone, and raises 1 and 2. Whole tone and half tone respectively.

Conny, I think Greg Cutshaw has some stuff on his website and he's a much better teacher than I.

My LKV lowers 6th string whole step. I also raise 1,2+7 on LKR!

I raise the 6th a whole-step.

I raise 1,2 and 7 on my LKL2 so I can half-pedal that for the seventh (on string #7, pedals down).

B to Bb, you should use it..

This change allows strings 5 and 8 to become MELODY powerful, 3 notes on string 8, raise, natural and lower (w/knee levers) and 3 notes on string 5, raise ( Ped A,) natural and lower with the X lever...

When lost in the madness of where to find some melody, run to strings 5 and 8...

I use my B to Bb at least as much as any other lever - maybe more.

Mine's on RKL. For me it's too important a 'change' to have on a vertical because I don't find that upward push particularly easy.

I agree, only my B to Bb is on the wrist lever, which is much easier to use than a vertical.
