It is right out of a wood shop. LOL. It weighs about 6 lbs, but should get down to about 3 1/2 or so when finished. I still think it could be even lighter with the next one. One thing I learned, is how good it felt while playing. Being a guitar player, I am used to an instrument hanging against my body. This was a lot like that. It really effected the way I played...I like it.

We are in phase 2 with the planned weight reduction this week. Already cut the back body rest, and working on the top plate, and side braces. It will reduce the weight by 40 % or more.

Just using the ole Buckminster Fuller theory of triangles and strength...the result of the V was a plus.
