I am a previous owner of an older 70's Sierra Olympic model 12 string steel. I Really liked what they were doing. It amazes me that that steel is actually that old. It is almost on par (if it isn't completely) with other modern all pull guitars.
It got me thinking....since that earlier guitar was that nice, what are the later models like?
When was the last Sierra Pedal steel built? Was it much different mechanically than the Sierra Olympic models?
Thanks
PS. I would love pictures of your Sierra Guitars

I have had a couple of them and you're right.
I think Sierra was ahead of the learning curve throughout most
of the company's life. I don't know much about the history of the Sierra company
but believe me, there are some real knowledgeable people on this forum
to fill in the blanks. Here is one of the most recent Sierra's I owned. It was an S-12 - Sierra Crown.
Hope this helps

This is probably the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever owned. It is a 1993 session 12 string. I have owned other sierra,s before but this one rules....thanks jack

I have three Sierra U12's.Unfortunatel I can't post any pictures now because the house s all torn up due to remolding...re-piping entire house and taking out all the carpets...replacing with tile.
I have a white Session 25" scale, Rosewood color Session 24 1/4" scale and a Black Session 24 1/4" scale. All keyless. I will sell the white 25" scale when I can finally get some pictures taken to post.

My Sierras
Here's my '94 Session D10, with Danny Shields Crap Trap pickup.
I also have a '95 white SD10 keyless (25" scale), very similar to Jack's.
Both solid as rocks, and I really like their feel and sound.
