BIG------------G Question?

Post by James Taylor »

Hi ERV, Should the " G " leaver move the seventh string ? I was playing your Precious Memories and on the third tab down on the eleventh fret you have A B and "G " ;is that right ? Thanking you for your response . JAMES TAYLOR

James,
You don't have to use the G lever if you don't want to, it just adds a 7th to the chord.

Thanks Erv

Thanks ERV, It is because my G leaver has no effect on that string at all. The guitar has five K/L and none of them pulls that string . However, I do know that string creates a seventh chord. Whatever, these melodies are so sweet even my wife was listening to my playing. With these instructions I will be in NASHVILE soon ,so look out. : :D   JAMES TAYLOR

Big Thanks

ERV, It seems that my guitar is set up with a sixth string pull for G and quite frankly I would rather have had this on the seventh string; for now it will be a little difficult and two much strain on the sixth too. However, thank you for all your interest and input I do appreciate it. It does have no real effect on your beautiful melodies . JAMES TAYLOR

ERV , These are truly beautiful melodies, just what I expected and better. This is a wonderful gift you have in transforming these lovely tunes for pedal steel. Keep up the good work JAMES TAYLOR
