Folding Steel Seat

Post by Bud Harger »

I'm thinking about going to a folding seat. What type of folding seat are you using and what do you recommend? Which ones are adjustable to multiple levels?

Thanks,

Folding keyboard benches work really well. I prefer them over drum thrones due to them folding flat for transport.

Where can you get one?

Steel seat

Post by Rob Stevens »

Bud,

I purchased the Lite model Steel Seat from Joe Naylor and I highly recommend it. It has a smaller storage area beneath the seat but it fits my cables, strings andand pedals without the extra weight of the larger models. The leg height is fixed but that shouldn't be an issue (he can make longer legs if needed). I also recommend getting a backrest.

While it is more expensive than some of the other options mentioned, it's multi-functional, comfortable and rugged, so it should last many, many years.

I have one of these http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=produ ... sName=BZ-7. Fairly sturdy and adjustable. Folds somewhat flat but I don't usually bother.

Sorry, just noticed you're "going to a folding seat", presumably from what i just recommended. Ignore previous post!
