A lot of money for an Ebow to play on one string.

A Vimeo poster asked what tuning he's using.

He really understands the music he's playing. Haunting and meditative.

Can you hum the melody? I get a little worn from all the alleged ambient music players. Whack some strings for gods sake!

I can hardly hum "The Old Grey Mare," but this is a beautiful melody, just not in a scale easily interpreted by western ears. A traditional Turkish piece, it predates the term "ambient music" by a good shot. And think about this: imagine having three or more additional notes between each two frets on your guitar! Whoa!

That was fantastic

I have found myself, with perched eBow and all, playing this type of stuff....except alas, I am one of the "alleged ambient music players"

There are drones on YT you can sit and play to- it's a LOT of fun- give it a try:

Cool...thanks for posting, Andy.
I like his use of the tone he gets, very expressive.
