I'd actually have to have a lot of data ( and I don't - advantage Stephen ) to say whether old Twins are more reliable than solid state. I personally have had failures mainly in solid state equipment, but I've really only had the one tube amp. It's only needed input jacks and there was a mod ( made before I bought it ) that went bad after a couple years.
