The last time I saw Gaven he was playing a Meredith. The Schoonover might be a recent acquisition.

I checked out a Schoonover several years ago. A wonderful, well crafted guitar.

Gaven is definitely playing his Schoonover in the video clip. Its a rosewood/cedar guitar. He's pretty amazing!

Great article Rob, thanks. Here is a picture I took while working for Rudy Jones in 1978, it is the sign that Kent was referring to. Oh, and by the way, the correct spelling is Wanette, OK

I'll vouch for Kent being a great gut to work with on setup, repairs and building custom instruments. He's done all those for me, and I can't say enough good things about him!
