A new instrumental steel guitar CD " Sweet Sound of Beautiful" is in the works and will be released at the end of April on cdbaby, iTunes and Amazon. It will be mastered by a lab in Burbank. Here is the artwork design which is in its early buggy stages. Spot any?

There are 21 steel guitar instrumental tracks featuring a variety of genres including Hawaiian, contemporary pop, country, Beatles, Shadows, and a couple of originals. Five steel guitars are featured: West Coast (C6 and B11), West Coast Steelocaster (A6), Charvel Jackson acoustic (D maj), and a MSA Classic pedal steel.

Very nice. I LOVE the cover photo. I'm partial to shots of hands and necks on steel albums!

I didn't know you played pedal steel! Am I mistaken in reading the cover's title? It looks like it reads "Beaultful". Intentional?

The type style has the lower case "t" with its cross coming off the side instead of centered. I see that can read as an lower case L too

James, Mark vA, Paul, Charlie, thanks for the kind remarks and good wishes.

Matt, Mark R., yes I felt the same way too at first until the artist told me about the font and I then viewed it differently. But maybe I should change the font or increase spacing between the letters....

I did learn pedal steel for a couple of years under the guidance of the late great Winnie Winston in the 80's. I remember him with reverence as a humble man and great player, with a beautiful touch on the pedal steel. I have also attended workshops organized by the Big E and the late great Jeff Newman,

Many thanks for your interest, progress is being made on the CD, will update. I will have it mastered in a couple of weeks.

Kay
