Depends. Do you prefer single coil or humbucker? Wait. The 705 has 4 wires. True, its single coil IS a bit light, but it sounds good.
I love the Truetone, but I think I'd do 705 with a tap switch.

705 for sure, but i would not use split coils, it's sterile and thin, so if you like a raunchy single with some room buzz get the single coil pick-up. Mullen single coils are Great.... I've done Geo L's for 15 years, a great quiet real world sound, i'm too anal for the Buzz!

Emmons single coil. Oh, that wasn't listed was it? But there is one for sale currently listed and they are a perfect match for the LG.

But between the Tru-tone and 705 my preference is defintley the 705.

Most of the steel tones that perked up my ears have been 705s.

However... if you want your Emmons to sound like they were envisioned... I think David is correct... an Emmons SC is the right answer. Put the 705s into a Fessy or Ritt instead.

I just went from GFI III humbuckers in my guitar to the Truetones. While that comes with a little hum i definitely prefer the sound I get with the single coils.
