This is off Mark Chesnutt's 2004 CD "Savin' The Honky Tonk". Always wanted to figure out this tune and never got around to it until today. Lots of great songs on the CD about beer, bait, and ammo, mama, love won and lost...you get the picture, honky tonk at its best. Paul Franklin on pedal steel and Brent Mason on electric guitar....'nuf said! With apologies to Mr. Franklin, here's my attempt at tabbing out all of the steel parts. Have fun with it and feel free to make corrections and tell me where I'm way off.

Thanks Jeff. Well done!
I saw Mark and his band at the Grizzly Rose in Denver not long after the Saving the Honky Tonks cd was released and it was a killer show. At the end of their set Mark said, "screw it, we ain't got nothin else to do, lets play some more". They did another 1/2 hour or so. It was cool. _________________ -doug garrick |

Doug -
Do you recall who played steel in that band? Lucky Motohashi maybe?
Thx, FF |

Hey Frank,
I think Slim Yamaguchi is still with Mark and has played steel for him for the past 20+ years. |

Frank, It was Slim in Denver. He was using a very pretty Excel. Sounded great too. He tore it up. I don't remember who else was with Mark at that time but they were ridiculously hot. _________________ -doug garrick |

Since Jeff was gracious enough to share that tab with us, I've been listening to that entire cd a lot. There's no shortage of great musicianship on that cd. It's a really well done album. Thanks again Jeff. _________________ -doug garrick |
