:whoa: The first Guit-Steel! (Sorry Junior, someone beat ya to it.) Just when you think you've seen everything. The first Gibson electric Spanish guitar too. Incredible.

Just a reminder of how Gibson used to be. Like the doubleneck SG that Elderly had that was a tenor/mandolin.

That looks rather similar to a git-steel that Ron at ramguitars.com made within the past month.

That's just hot. Presumably built around the template of the EH-150 double neck.

so...to play the 6 string neck one has to stand up, and to play the steel neck one has to be seated?

Actually...I just noticed the picture at the bottom, where he's playing the 6 string seated...still getting in to position to play the steel would seem to entail a bit shuffling about.

Does the 20 grand include a seat?

Cool piece of history. Too bad someone along the line hacked the steel side to move the pickup. The resulting repair could have been better too. Certainly not an easy repair, but going heavy and out of bounds of the original shading pattern with the tobacco brown is disappointing.

That should have negated Steven's patent on the guitsteel no?
