Posting pics on forum

The only camera I can post pics with on the forum is a 10 year old Sony Mavica that runs on a mini disk. Every other camera will not post pics.

Any help is appreciated...

Upload them to Photobucket or any other similar free hosting site, and just copy/past the BBCode link for the image there, into your post here. The "BBCode" link is the one that starts and ends with [Img] and [/Img].

Alternatively, just copy the images to your PC hard drive, and use the "Upload picture" button in the forum message input form.

It would have never occurred to me to try to post an image here directly from a camera. That would pose obvious limitations, as you've discovered.

Quoting from the forum FAQ:

"Can I post Images?
Yes. Use the 'Upload Picture' button in the message entry toolbar. It's best to pre-size your images to less than 800 pixels in width. 640x480 is best. We have found that the process fails ungracefully on very large images."

My little Canon PowerShot can shoot images that are 3648x2736 - way too big for uploading here, or anywhere else online, taking etiquette into account. Most people don't even have monitors that big.
