My "selfie"....

Post by Rick Schmidt »

It's been awhile since I've put anything up here on the Forum, so here goes....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTQSFLTFaeU

Thanks to fellow Forumites Peter Freiberger on bass and Earnest Bovine on keys (unfortunately out of the screen on this phone vid) Also the great Harry Orlove on guitar and Dan Range on drums. A great big thanks to the SWSGA for letting me be a part of their great AZ show each January!!

Wow - I expected to listen to some steel, but got side-tracked by the vocal! Had to listen again. Great job!

I wouldn't expect less from you Rick. They should invite you to Dallas.

Rick, you are a wonderful musician, but I believe in you as an artist.

I can't believe you're leaving the ocean for the desert!

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Mike...yeah it's still a little hard to grok for me too. Let's just chalk it up to Love.....and... Money.
Me and my sweetie are gonna live in 2 nice places with WAY less expenses ....one in Glendale (i.e.PHX and definitely the desert...) and one in beautiful, and way more temperate Prescott...only an hour and a half drive between the two....and about 30 degrees cooler in the summer.

My son is still gonna be here in San Diego, so I'm sure I'll be coming back often for the surf and some good gigs etc. It's only about a 5 or 6 hour trip.

Here's a pic of our back yard in Prescott....
